Sending a Mail/Care Package
You cannot contribute much to a prisoner’s personal property. During visitation at the North Sioux City City Jail, you are permitted to bring one pair of socks and one pair of underwear. Sending mail and packages is not recommended. While underwear and socks are permitted, bras with underwire are not allowed to be issued to inmates due to safety concerns.
Sending Money
Money for North Sioux City City Jail prisoners is in the form of Jail Credit. Jail Credit is a monetary value assigned by the city that directly correlates to the amount of time spent in jail. State law will assist a judge in determining how much jail credit each prisoner receives. Jail Credit only applies to prisoners who are booked on some Class C misdemeanors, and is on a case by case basis. Sending money to inmates is not permitted.

You cannot visit in groups; only per person is permitted to visit at a time, and visits are limited to 10 minutes. Visitors must be at least 17 years old, have proper identification, and not have any outstanding warrants.
