Make sure when sending mail that you include your name and return address on the envelope. Mail that does not include this information is liable to be discarded before being delivered to the inmate.
Inmates at the Sante Fe City Jail can receive postcards and letters. Photographs should not be bigger than 4x6 inches, and inmates cannot possess more than 5 photographs at a time.
Additionally, you can set up books, magazines, and newspapers to be delivered directly from the publisher to the inmate (and not through a third party). Inmates can receive a limited amount of reading material that is shipped directly from the publisher.
Sending Money
To give money to inmates, visit the lobby of the Sante Fe City Jail. There is a kiosk, and for a fee you can put money on an account for an inmate. You can pay by cash or credit card. Inmates’ accounts can only hold small amounts of money, so keep your transactions small in size.
Phone calls
Sante Fe City Jail allows you to call and leave messages for an inmate. Or, an inmate can make phone calls. For either service, set up an account with Securus on their website or by calling them at 505-827-9300. Inmates must make phone calls to a landline, and are not permitted to make 3-way phone calls or call a cell phone directly.
Visitation
Inmates at the Sante Fe City Jail can be visited any day of the week between 1:00PM and 5:00PM. Visitation happens through a video link system. Any adult over the age of 18 and any minors that are the children of inmates can visit in this time period, as long as the children are accompanied by an adult. Visits are limited to 20 minutes per visit.
