Sending a Mail/Care Package

Inmates at the Plymouth County Jail can receive postcards and letters. You can also arrange to have softback books and newspapers sent directly to the inmate from the publisher. Do not send reading material yourself; it must come from the publisher.

You need to also include your sender’s name and return address on the envelope. All mail is inspected and will not be delivered to the inmate without this information.

Sending Money

The easiest way to send money to an inmate is to do so online. Inmates can maintain money in an account for commissary expenses.

There is a kiosk in the lobby of the Plymouth County Jail, and you can add funds to inmate’s accounts at the kiosk. There is a $2.50 service charge for each transaction.

You can also send a money order via US mail.

Phone calls

Inmates cannot receive incoming calls, but you can help them get set up to be able to make phone calls. They will be charged by the minute, and cannot make any three-way calls.

You should call ahead to inquire about visitation. Inmates at the Plymouth County Jail can receive visitors, but they must add you first to the visitor’s list. You might consider sending the inmate a letter with all your relevant information and request they add you to the list.

When you are approved to visit, you will need to bring valid government photo identification, dress conservatively, and do not bring any contraband material to inmates.
