Sending Money

You can set up an account for an inmate and add money to it. You will need to find the inmate’s Criminal Descriptor number, and you can do that by performing an Inmate Search.

Once you have the inmate’s number, you can make payments in the kiosk in the lobby of the jail or by U.S. postal service money order.

An inmate will be able to withdraw money from their account as long as there are funds.

Phone calls

While inmates cannot receive phone calls, they can call out. The receiver of the phone call needs to establish an account online with Securus Technologies. You can do this online or call 317-745-6464, 317- 539-6915.

Visitation

You will also need to use Securus Technologies to schedule any visitations to the Amo City Jail. Visitations need to be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Prior to scheduling, have your identification handy, and be aware that nobody with an open arrest warrant will be permitted to visit an inmate.

Visitors have the option of scheduling an in-person visit or a remote video. The remote option allows for family and friends from out of town to visit. Visitors just need to download the Securus app. Any visit can last up to 30 minutes in length. Inmates at the Amo City Jail can have up to two visits in a week.
