One of three state prisons in Alaska, this facility has 18 housing units and 10 support buildings on 171 acres.It is the only one of the three state prisons to house female offenders and juveniles. Currently there are males and females in custody at all different custody levels (minimum, medium, and close).

Sending a Mail/Care Package

Sending mail to inmates is encouraged, and you can send mail in either a legal or letter envelope.

While all mail at Mat-Su Pretrial will be inspected, incoming and outgoing mail will only be censored if there is possible evidence of contraband, with suspicious materials included in the mail.

Phone calls

Inmates at the Mat-Su Pretrial cannot receive calls, but they can make outgoing calls through Global Tel Link. Reach out to their customer service center at 1-877-650-4249 for account information or billing inquiries, and to set up an account for an inmate. They use an automated system pay in advance. You can do this 24 hours a day. You will be able to create an account, make a credit card payment and check on account balances by calling at 1-800-483-8314.

Visitation
