Sending a Mail/Care Package

Inmates at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center love to receive mail, and it is encouraged. To send mail to an inmate, include the offender’s name, Alaska DOC number, and unit address. You can find the specific unit address for an inmate at this website.

While you cannot send books, newspapers, and magazines directly to an inmate, you can work to set up shipments of these materials directly from a publisher to an inmate.

Sending Money

Phone calls

Inmates can make phone calls for up to 30 minutes between 7:00AM and 10:00PM.


Schedule your visit ahead of time, or you might get turned away. Plan to visit on Saturdays and Sundays between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Inmates must list the names of all visitors on a Visitor’s List

Work with the Lemon Creek Correctional Center Warden’s office to schedule a visit. You can reach out to them between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at least one day before you plan to visit. Have all information available for visitors: name, birthdate, and legal government identification. Once you are on the Visitor’s List, you can reach out to the warden to schedule a visit. Plan to dress conservatively.
